If it's a black platsicky thing, it's just a splash guard. It's only there for stylistic reasons. Just pull it out completely and when you get a chance take it to the dealer and have them fix it. Won't affect the driving of the car at all
It's funny, the reason I know is cause the same thing happened to me in my 09, for no apparent reason at all. I actually called AAA but I really didn't have to, just give it a few tugs and it should pop out
Oh, 1 more thing: My Toyota dealer repaired it free of charge. If yours tries to charge you, make a fuss. There is absolutely NO reason why something like this should happen to a 3 year old car
