how can i tell if my car is a 2wd or awd?

Default how can i tell if my car is a 2wd or awd?
i have a 98 tacoma reg cab















how can i tell if its a 2wd or a 4wd/ awd

Look underneath and see if it has drive shafts hooked to the wheels in the front of the truck or another possible way is to take it on a dirt road and step on it and see which wheels spin. HAHA

Look underneath you should see the Front diff and rear diff. IF you see only rear diff most likely 4x2. If you see both then you got awd. Your truck has to say somewhere that its 4wd/awd if it is that. If its a 4x2 then it wont say nothing.

If it is a 4wd you will have front axles like in a front wheel drive car. You will also have a transfer case shifter in the cab.
