We need a key made for our 1986 toyota 4runner and don't have a key to copy?

The keys are lost. We have looked everywhere for many months. It hasn't been an issue until now because we want to sell it. No key for the door or for the ignition. AND - the club is locked on the steering wheel; those keys were also on the same keychain that is missing.

Getting in the car is easy but you're probably going to have to purchase new locks and ignition. Oh and your gonna have to either drill that club or saw it off unless you know some one with skills. Your probably gonna have to tow it to wherever they are going to service the ignition. This really sucks. Hope you get it all figured out.

Call your local locksmith they might be able to come to your house and rekey.

As for the club the locksmith might be able to do something but if not your going to have to cut your steering wheel and slide it off but only do that if all else fails.

If the keys are the same for the door and the ignition, a locksmith can make keys from the door lock. They prefer the passenger cylinder because it is less worn than the driver's cylinder. The Club will have to be cut off with a high speed cutter; the locksmith should be able to do that. The first source will look up automotive locksmiths near you.

Don't bother with Toyota - they only have records for the last ten model years.
