Most Aygos have a 1.0-litre petrol engine (there is a 1.4 diesel option, but it is rare).
Small petrol engines such as this generally need a few more revs to have enough torque to move off from stand-still than larger petrol engines, or any diesel engines.
If you were previously used to cars with larger engines or diesel engines, it will take you a little while to learn how much extra to push on the accelerator pedal before letting the clutch out in order to move off without stalling.
Stick with it, and after a few weeks you'll wonder why you ever had a problem.
