Recheck the time to shutdown after you give it three tries or so. If they are all precisely some number, like 10 seconds or 15 seconds, the ECU probably does not believe the engine is running and is turning off the fuel pump to prevent a big fire. The most likely cause of that is a bad cam sensor, but you will need to get the code read to know. If you are in the continental US but not California, you can borrow a code reader for free from your local AutoZone. It could be a bad crank sensor instead but that should prevent the engine from firing at all. Anyway, the code will reveal all.
