It sounds like you need a new oxygen sensor. It is not that difficult to replace this yourself with basic mechanical knowledge, just unplug and unscrew the old one, screw in and connect the new one. Most auto parts stores will have them for that vehicle.
Your vehicle will have 2 or 3 of these sensors depending on engine size. 4 cylinders probably have 2 and 6 cylinders should have 3. One sensor is mounted just after (behind) the catalytic converter and the others are mounted near the engine on the exhaust manifolds. Make sure you replace the one indicated by the trouble code or your problem will remain.
