Corolla problems getting worse.?
Awhile back my Corolla started having a lot of hesitation on a cold start when accelerating from a stop/coast/coming out of reverse. Checked the TPS which as fine and then replaced the coolant temperature sensor. Also wound up messing with the idle for some reason (can't remember exactly why at the moment). In the end it wound up being a simple MAF sensor on the intake that was dirty.
Now that thats fixed, my idle on a cold start in park shoots up to 2000 but once it gets warmed up in drive it goes down to 900 putting strain on the engine causing it to rattle. It also has a hard shift right before coming to a stop. Its really aggravating because its a very noticeable letoff which jerks you as the engine braking increased slightly then decreases, theres a chain sounding rattle in low gears until I get about 55 mph+, oh and pressing lightly on the accelerator or letting off of it jerks the car pretty bad. Not that bad at higher speeds because the pedal is depressed further but through town going about 45 mph it is constant kicking. (Turned O/D off to make sure it wasn't the tranny slipping in and out of gears). None of this was there before started messing around fixing the first problem.
Any idea wtf I did to screw shit up that bad? I left the entire throttle body sitting out over night. Could condensation cause any of those problems? I'm sure my f'ing with the idle has something to do with the braking problem and rattling but I'm not exactly sure how to fix that. Everythign I've tried has failed.
