the diff would be minimal. 7hp increase only. the change happened between 84 & 85. i think the later ones where physically longer as well.
from 82-84 they were 105 hp (78 kW) at 4,800 rpm and 137 ft·lbf (185 N·m) at 2,800 rpm
as of 85 they were totally reworked. 112 hp (84 kW) at 4,600 rpm and 142 ft·lbf (192 N·m) at 3,400 rpm.
a lot of design issues prior to 85. mostly due to t-chain issues.
