Default 1992 toyota 4runner v6 hard to start even black smoke but once starts its perfect?
I got a 92 toyota 4runner v6 tbi no carburetor, the truck runs real good does not miss fire or anything but when its time to turn it on its hard you gotta give it gas and it starts and dies sometimes as its starting it spits black smoke, I also notice black carbon in the tail pipe, the wierd thing is that the truck runs great it does not miss fire or anything, I was thinking the spark plugs, someone told me the carburetor but its fuel injection, once it starts good then it stays on running perfect but the problem comes once you turn it off, to start back to not starting, any one have similar problem?

iffin' it doesn't have any codes stored, likely it just needs a full tune up and a seafoam cleaning.















seafoam can be used to clean the fuel system internally and it can be used to physically remove and clean the TB, MAF, AIC, and injector. tons of DIY's on you tube.































and of coarse, check the egr system and your air filter.
