Can I replace a keyless entry remote for a '98 corolla?

Default Can I replace a keyless entry remote for a '98 corolla?
I just bought a used '98 Toyota corolla le with power locks and an alarm. The car did not come with a remote. Would I be able to go to my local Toyota dealer and have another remote programmes for me? I know it's not necessary but I would be nice to have. I do not want a remote from eBay or amazon or anything like that. Also, what is a rough estimate of the cost? Any help is greatly appreciated.

If it is equipped with remote keyless entry you can program a remote yourself - see the first source for how to tell if the car is equipped. I have used the vendor a few times and been satisfied. A new remote is $80 (plus about $10 shipping) from them or you can get the clone for about half that. Expect the dealer to be a lot more.
