'97 Toyota Avalon remote key programming?

Default '97 Toyota Avalon remote key programming?
Bought a used remote key, and the instructions to program it are very vague. It says something about a box and that two remotes need to be done at the same time............what the heck???































Any time I have ever programed a keyless entry remote on my other cars, it was a simple thing.































Anyone have an easier way to do the programming? Oh, and don't say, "That's Toyota for ya" ;-)

Tis true - the instructions may not be vague exactly but they are sure technical. The first source has them. An alternative is to pay $6 to download the instructions as a PDF file from the second source and to call for details if they are too hard to follow. I have had good support from this company in the past.

Take the instruction to you local, auto locksmiyh and he should be able to explain them in simple terms, good luck, also might try the dealer you might come across someone there with a kind heart to help for free.
