Has anyone had a short circuit problem with Toyota celica dome light?

Default Has anyone had a short circuit problem with Toyota celica dome light?
I think there is a short circuit with my current dome unit. Every time I put on the dome light the clock turns off (resets) and the dome light doesn't come on. The bulb is fine and all the fuses are fine. Not sure about the relays but I think it's the dome unit. Hence is it advisable to replace the whole dome unit and/or is their a better solution? Also am I right in thinking it's a short circuit problem, based on my research people have stated that their is high resistance some where. Not sure how to fix it.































FYI: 2000 (x reg) Toyota celica 1.8vvti

Something could be wrong with wiring. Id have it checked out if I were you.
