I thought i remember seeing an fj cruiser at a concept car show where the rear wheels turned also, so that it could complete a small circle. Can somebody please link me to a video or something?

IIRC, GM had a pickup that had rear wheel steering. Allowed a tighter turn radius, but was proved troublesome, so was dropped.

Not sure anyone makes that anymore...its really not cost effective and maintaining that was a pain

yes it was a concept car here in the united kingdom it was done with two BMC minis which had the front ends welded together so it was a push me pull you idea. so it went as fast forward as it did backwards.















i have seen the rear wheel steer articulated trailers on a lorry where the back 6 wheels steer to get around a roundabout.















i do believe one of the major prestige german manufactures tried it without much in the call for such as beast.

Honda Prelude Type SH has front and rear wheel steering. That is the most recent car I can think of where it applies.
