How do I turn on my 4WD?

Default How do I turn on my 4WD?
I have a base model 2003 Toyota Rav4 4WD and I need 4WD almost all the time.















I use this car for Minnesota winters(snow and ice)

Your RAV4 is either front wheel drive or permanent 4WD































"NV was 2-wheel drive, while NRG, GX, and VX were permanent 4-wheel drive with differing levels of equipment"































Also, are you taking this off road? Otherwise I doubt you will need continuous 4WD. Even in bad conditions FWD will do the job.

IF you know your vehicle has 4 wheel drive but cant find where to engage it then it means you must have all time 4 wheel drive. You dont have to do anything your 4WD is engaged no mattter what

The Rav4 4WD is 4WD all the time. Under normal driving conditions, the Rav4 has 95% of the power in the two front wheels, and 5% power in the back wheels. If a situations occurs (black ice, heavy snow, deep puddle, slippery spots on roads..etc..) where the Rav needs more grip on certain wheels, the Rav switches to a "true" 4wheel drive with 55% power on the two fronts and 45% power on the back wheels until the vehicle senses all the wheels are moving with no slippage then swtiches back to the 95 - 5% ratio again.
