95 Jetta vs. 97 Toyota Corolla?

Default 95 Jetta vs. 97 Toyota Corolla?
I have a 97 toyota corolla that I want to race against a 95 Jetta.. The jetta has a 2.0L engine and 110 horsepower too, while my toyota only has a 1.6L engine with 100HP.. they're both FWD but it seems that my Toyota is a little bit underpowered compared to the Jetta... (both are manual)































If I were to race it against the Jetta, and if I was a good driver, do you think I could have a pretty good chance at beating the jetta? or would it just win because of stretches that it could overtake me on?

This it seems is a battle of overall car weight. If you wanna cheat, go to auto zone and pick up a can of octane booster to mix with a tank of supreme gas before your "battle of the pinks". Your corolla is gonna need it.































Oh yeah, and take your back seats too. Then you could run with the Jetta.
