i think they all do. I have a 99 2wd 4 door and it comes with the tire and i know the 4x4's do to. it would help if you had the year

They got rid of the rear-mounted spare in the 2009 and later models. Anything before would have the rear-mounted spare.

the only ones available without the rear mounted spare tire are the SPORT models. those are equipped with run flat tires. the vehicle can still be driven a certain distance @ a certain speed without requiring a spare tire change out /when it goes flat.































unfortunately run flat tires cost significantly more than normal tires, they also wear out abnormally due to the stiff sidewall construction.

Not sure about the US, but in Canada, the Rav4 without the spare tire on the back is called the Sport Apperance Package Rav4 and it is only available in the V6 model. It has runflat tires which can be driven up 100kms before needing to be replaced. This comes in handy when you have a flat out in the middle of nowhere in the middle of the night and no one can help change a tire. Cost for the Sport Appearance is around $29000 US
