Default POLL: Do you own a Toyota Supra?
It's my favorite sports car and thats the first car i WILL buy when i have a job etc. I literally love this car. I just hope by the time i get enough money i can buy a used one but the problem is.......i know nothing about Supra's..... ......about their engines, models, etc. Is there a website you could recommend to help me?































By the way i've heard that the MK4 is popular..........can you give me links on this too.........good ones please.........which you know can help me.

They are a very good car. Toyota didn't sell that many of them and a lot of them have been thrashed and wrecked. Good ones are rare, hard to find and rapidly becoming a classic. Especially the twin turbo model - which i assume you would want. assuming you find a stock twin turbo - they are inline 6 3.0 liter and the turbos operate sequentially. One turbo operates up to about 4000 where the second comes in when at full throttle. using 2 sequential turbos reduces the turbo lag significantly since the turbos are smaller they will spool up much faster than a single large turbo. spool time is a function of turbo wheel diameter which determines the inertia to overcome. The turbo engine is VERY stout and has high capacity oil pump and oil jets under the pistons for piston cooling. The stock rating is a very strong and honest 320 HP. Stock they have a speed limiter at 155 mph and easily hit it. They can have boost and fuel turned up to easily 5-600 hp. some monsters have been bumped to 1000 hp or more! For the power and reliability they were an absolute bargain at about 45k and were capable of running with most Porsches, and even low end Ferraris costing 2-3 times as much. Good luck finding a clean one.
