How do I shut off the maintenance reqd light 09 Toyota tacoma?

Default How do I shut off the maintenance reqd light 09 Toyota tacoma?
I have changed the oil, I just cant get the light to go out..

it always needs maintenance, get rid of it and buy a American made truck

Hold the odometer trip reset button and turn key to on without starting the engine. Hold the button until until the light stops blinking about 5 sec. Should be in your Toyota Tacoma manual.































It will start blinking again at 4500 miles and it will stay lit at 5000 miles. Its like an oil change reminder light.
