Default Which engine should I use?
I have a 91 Mark2 MR2, I want to do an engine swap, but I dono if I should opt for the easy swap and grab a V6 camry engine, or if I should try to find a beefy engine from another mid-rear style car. What do you guys think I should do?















This is true @bigg. I dono if an I6 would fit though. Especially because I'm looking to run a sequential turbo to it later on....

Those Camry V6's, especially those in the newer models, are powerful engines. You could always see if an inline 6 2JZ from a Supra would fit. Massive horsepower potential.

Hey I have a 1991 mr2 mk2 aswell running a uk spec 3sge I am keeping it with this engine as I am well I guess just proud it is a non turbo haha, but in the past I have looked at changing it. I recommend checking this site out. Hope it helps!

There's barely room enough for the 4 cyl engine in there, which is the same as the Camry 4 cylinder. You can put a turbo 2 liter MR2 in it, but unless you are willing to do some heavy modifcation, forget trying to put the V6 in it. It will have to be installed from underneath the car, by the way.
