a "17gal" tank off any hilux efi from 85-95 is a plug and play app. check wrecking yards. long or short bed is the factor here. and stay away from 3VZE V6 platforms. bigger 19 gal tank. won't fit.
look at the details on the fuel cell in Q to see if it has provisions for a pump. otherwise you'll have to go remote.
but it's cheaper just to get one off a 85-95 truck. done!

@ D.H. ppl go fuel cell and remote rads all the time to protect them when 4x4ing. put em in the bed. not uncommon at all for a serious off road-er. that's the set up i have on my 88 toy 4x4.
but i agree, if the op just wants to get it running, what's the point.
