Does the 08 Prius get the same gas mileage as the 08 Prius touring?

Yes, the only difference is trim level.

The Touring model does get slightly lower mileage due to the wider Bridgestone tires on 16" wheels that it comes with. The non-touring model comes with narrow, 195mm section width Goodyear tires on 15" wheels. I believe the mileage estimate for the Touring model is 4-5 mpg lower than for the standard Prius.

Eric is correct. Although the EPA rating is the same, in practice the wider tires on the Touring edition give slightly lower mpg. On the other hand, the spring rate is different on the Touring and gives better handling.































The slighly lower MPG can be offset by putting on more modern tires such as the Nokian eNTYRE or Yokohama dB e-spec.
