Corolla 95 problem scraping sound when applying gas?

Default Corolla 95 problem scraping sound when applying gas?
makes a mechanical sound when applying gas or slowing down. Sounds as if a wheel component is scraping against metal. Have looked at the brakes everything looks normal there. What could be going on?

no sound at idle or maintaining speed..... don't see how it could be brakes. nothing to stop those from scraping continuously. applying gas or slowing down wouldn't effect it.































cv joint maybe. that would prolly get louder when turning.















and















hardly ever agree with this when i see it said. but in your case, i'd check those engine/trans-axle mounts. a front or aft mount would be in Q here. upper or lower. possible the engine is torquing/moving, and maybe an accessory pulley or something is rubbing.

Had a Malibu couple years ago and had the same problem















was making scraping noise turned out to be brakes.
