Dented Gas tank In Prius?

Default Dented Gas tank In Prius?
I have a 2007 Toyota Prius. From what I understand it has a rubber bladder inside the gas tank. I dented the heck out of the tank. I don't have any warning lights or anything like that going on, yet. How bad is it that I ran over that rock....? Nothing is leaking.. Is the car gonna explode on the next pebble?















I also dented the catalytic converter.. Which I believe is the cause of the rattle at 16 mph, 25, 35 and 45 mph. From my online research it could be $1800 for the cat. what about the gas tank? I'm gonna sue that rock!

The North American Prius has a bladder, but the last I heard the European and Asian versions do not. The rattle hopefully is the heat shield over the catalytic converter, which is a common rattle source for cars even when they are not bashed in. A muffler can tell right away and weld it back on cheaply if that is the rattle.

That mustve been a pretty big rock















If your not getting any leaks your gas tank should be fine















But if your still wary about it then check on craigslist or ebay















for people selling parts off there Prius and see if you can get















a gas tank for cheap. Your Cat does have a heat shield and















the two are probably rattling together under engine load. If your















not liking that sound take it to muffler shop to have it straightened















out
