Default 2006 corolla automatic transmission problems shifting gears?
I have a 2006 Corolla with an automatic transmission (approx. 85,000 miles) and it didn't want to switch gears between 2nd and 3rd (I believe.) Everything was fine once I turned it off and restarted it. This was the first time it has happened and the transmission fluid level is good. My brother recommended that having the fluid drained and the filter changed would probably solve the problem. Is this correct, or do I have bigger problems?

If that tranny fluid has never been changed then you could be















in a world of trouble but you never know I could be wrong I would















highly recommend the tranny fluid change ASAP I mean drive it















to a shop and have them do it so they can use a machine and drain















it all and it can have fresh new fluid. Im not kidding you could be















asking for bigger troubles if you keep driving it on that fluid. And im















not sure if they use filters anymore on the Corolla or they could















lifetime filters that never need changing pretty sure theyll let u know
