If is not the battery being too low; ATTEMPT to turn the engine manually...remove the spark plugs and try to turn the engine at the crankshaft pulley...it is just to make sure everything lines up properly..example sometimes a the wrong angle from the transmission input shaft to the torque converter will jam making everything hard to turn... if everything is in good order check the power lines at the starter...(i know is a little hard to get too) make sure you have battery voltage at the starter and by obvious reasons you already mention the click..(means it gets contact from ignition key) so there is no need to check the ignition key signal... make sure the starter is bolted in right.. (if in doubt remove the starter and test it) if the engine turns and the starter turns check the transmission..
