Toyota Corolla Problem with "doors open" light continuously on and not locking electronically?

Default Toyota Corolla Problem with "doors open" light continuously on and not locking electronically?
Hello ---my father owns a Toyota Corolla 2003 Estate and has recently encountered a problem where his "doors open" light is continuously on and he is unable to lock the car electronically because of this































When he tries to lock the car the hazard warning light flash once but the car does not lock































All the doors are securely shut































Would anyone know what is causing this and if there is a quick fix we can do ?

check the door switches, if one or more of the switches thinks the door is still open, it may not lock,and would also keep the light on
