What the difference between the Toyota Corolla "S" and LE, CE ect?

Default What the difference between the Toyota Corolla "S" and LE, CE ect?
I run a 200+ mile Courier route mon-fri and I am in the market for better MPG over my current 1997 Ford F-150 XLT EXT cab. at the current rate i go through 50$ a day in gas. a guy that works another route with us has a toyota carolla, 2004-2003 i beleive and he says he averages 32 MPG and claims he only uses around 17-20$ a day in gas with a similar mileage route. I was looking into the carolla's and i see they offer an "S" model. upon research from Toyota i cant quite place my finger on the differences between it and the other models other then the obvious ground effects and alloy wheels. is that it? or does it offer more power then the other models if not then i might settle for the base model CE.































Unfortunately i have to part with the Ford as a route vehicle, ive done all i could with it to better its MPG, overinflated the tires by 2-3Psi, new iridium Xtreme performance plugs, wires, EGR valve and controller, replaced all 4 Oxygen Sensors with Bosch ones, 3 stage Castrol fuel system clean. i even went ahead and got a brand new radiator/thermostat, tires and brakes before taking job now 3 1/2 weeks in its killing me gas wise

The S model adds plastic body cladding to give the car the illusion of sportiness it does not possess.

Toyota Corolla















LE = Luxury Edition basically you have power windows, door locks, cruise control, etc.















CE = Classic Edition NO power windows, door locks, cruise control, cd player, etc















S = Sport basically everything a LE has but it would have front and back bumper spoiler, side spoiler, a wing at the back of your trunk, fog lights, mudguards, black front grille, 16 inch wheels.















XRS = Has a bigger motor basically the 2.4L 4 cylinder Camry Motor with a 6 speed manual.
