will 20" rims fit a 06' toyota avalon?

Default will 20" rims fit a 06' toyota avalon?
I'm about to purchase a 06 toyota avalon from a family member. Its in perfect condition and since its family im saving a ton of money. With the money left over I wanted to get a nice set of tires and rims... Now I always try to go a little bit bigger on everything than my friends or neighbors. Even I think 20 inch rims may be a bit too large for this car but than again I don't want to be just average. Im just not sure that if I spend money on rims and tires, if they will fit on the car. To be honest I'm not even sure where to begin my research. If I did purchase them would I have to make some kind of modification?

Why put 20's on an avalon? but you may have to shave some fender off or raise it a couple inches.

Your stock tires are 215mm wide, and are approximate height of 66.5cm (a little less if you've got 16"s, a little more if you've got 17"s). Ideally, you'd want to find a tire with that exact width and height, as there'd be no issues with fit - I just can't find them in a quick search. However, 225/35R20s are common enough, and are just 10mm wider and about 2cm taller, which should be a fairly minimal difference (in theory).
