Default I have a 1988 Toyota 6 cyl/EFI 4x4. Last week I pressure washed the engine compartment, and now
there is absol? washed the engine compartment and now there is no power at all to the truck. I've cleaned every ground connection I saw. Cleaned every pos connection I saw. All the fuses r ok. Help

Water in the ignition system, or fuel system, or intake system. Never pressure wash an engine bay unless you know what you're doing, and where to stay away from!

You have water in the distributor cap. Remove the cap and wipe it off with dry rag and you will be fine.

i agree with AL about moisture in the distributor.































however, typically just a rag won't do it. pull the distributor cap. spray WD-40 liberaly in there. cap and connector to. then check to see if the air filter is soaked.































that's it!. these are fairly simple ignition systems in 88. you can wash these anytime IF you prep with WD-40 first, and stay away from the air box.































sometimes there's a little more to do,















if she still wont start, spray every connector related to EFI and ignition in the bay, and the plug boots to.
