96 corolla brake light problem ?

Default 96 corolla brake light problem ?
both brake lights not working go to auto zone buy new bulbs put in bulbs both brake lights not working turn on running lights brake lights working, could this be a fuse? Wiring problems? Do you suggest me seeing a mechanic or something I can fix myself?

Have you checked the switch on the brake pedal? It's a basic on off, short out the two wire and see if lights come on. If the do replace the switch. If not check for power to the switch. No power, check the fuse.

Is your top third brake light working when the brake is pressed?















If it is then you dont have a switch problem you have a wiring problem.















If third light does come on then you have a switch problem and have















it replaced
