Default Should I trade in my Toyota 2004 4 runner in for a 2011 AWD Venza?
The dealership is going to give me $15,000 for my 4 runner with 56,000 miles, the Venza is an AWD 4 cylinder. My lease payment will be under $240/month for 36 months with a buyout of $16,000.















I still owe 11,000 on my 4 runner and the loan is for another 4.2 years.

It depends on how you use the car and which one is better-suited to your use. The 4Runner is truck-based, has off-road and towing capability. The Venza has a road-based car chassis and AWD designed for on-road use.































If the Venza is able to better meet your requirements for a car, it may be an effective trade. It delivers better fuel economy but the pay-back time is likely very long. You will lose money on the trade as opposed to keeping the 4runner.































You need to determine if the extra investment and the extension of time you will be making payments is worth it to you.

No. The 4Runner is a better built vehicle. It only has 56,0000 miles and will be good for another 200,000. Venza has yet to prove itself.































Wouldn't you rather save the money instead of spending it on a car payment?
