Default How do i remove the governor on my 98 toyota camry?
the engine is a 2.2 4 cylinder it shuts off when i reach 115 miles per hour

buy a car that is not controlled by the man.a carburator is not a bad thing.

The governor is put in by the manufacturer so that the driver does not blow up the motor by over-revving. Guessing you got to that point. Or at a point of fuel starvation.















The motor will instantly seize on you and you will have an oversized paperweight. Only repair is complete new engine. "The car is not worth that much". If you want to go faster then change the gear ratio in the transmission.

This is not a device that you can unbolt and "remove". It's part of the computer, and the only way to "remove" it is by reprogramming the ECU.































Forget about it. WHY would you want to go faster than 115??? (oh, that's right. I forgot. You're young)
