Tire manufacturers don't publish the actual tread width. You'll have to go to a Toyota dealer and measure it.
The 17" will be wider than the 15" tire (and it will have a bit more rolling resistance because of that).
The 15" tire is a P195/65R15 and the 17" tire is a P215/45R17 so there is about 20mm (4/5 inch) difference in the section width. However, the amount of tread width difference doesn't directly follow because of the difference in aspect ratio (65% vs 45%).
When inflated to the same pressures, the contact patch area will be the same size on both tires, however the length and width of the contact patch will be different. With the wider tire you get a small increase in G force and a bit crisper response but give up a bit of forward traction, braking traction, hydroplaning resistance, and mpg, as well as ride comfort.
