Default Is Prius 3rd generation 15" wheel's power steering brushed or brushless?
As title thank you.































In addition to above, am I right to say brushless electrical power steering is more durable and also more energy efficient?

Brushes haven't been used in electric motors for a very long time. I don't believe they were ever used in electric power steering for any car.

I'm pretty sure the Prius power steering has been brushless from the beginning. In the first generation you can often hear the steering inverter squawking when the wheel is turned at low speed - it sounds like a rubber bushing squeaking.

only the 17" uses the brushless type motor, this is likewise the more expensive one amongst all available 3rd gen prius trims, it comes with led lamps and integrated fog lamps among others (i'm beginning to sound like a salesman) it is equipped with a motor rotation angle sensor that has a resolver sensor (i think i'm talking too technically already)which is not present in the 15" version of the 3rd gen. (for me the 17 is better, more durable too plus it looks sportier but a little more money involved)
