Default Turbo kit explanation?
I have a 1985 Toyota MR2. All stock other than exhaust and wheels. It is also lowered. Been driving it for 2 years. It's a standard. I'm 18 and I finally have a job so I can buy things for my vehicle. I've dabbled around online looking at things for it buy but















My question is....... Can anyone please explain an entire turbo kit to me? I know you can't slap on a turbo and "me go fast" ha. Please explain the basics on what it does, how much HP it will add, the need for syncros, etc etc etc. And which one would best suit my car. I don't really need to know about installation. Don't leave a link.

Like Nick mentioned, there are plenty of forums and online information for that.































The turbo will likely require a certain intercooler, extra piping, manifolds, possibly new injectors/spark plugs, computer tune, etc. There's a lot that goes into it. The potential gains are pretty impressive, though. You can probably expect 30-40% gains, on the conservative side.
