Would cutting the stock exhaust pipe on my Toyota Tundra shorter be a problem?

Default Would cutting the stock exhaust pipe on my Toyota Tundra shorter be a problem?
I have 2006 1st gen with a lift on it and the stock exhaust sticks out like a sore thumb. I take it wheeling and i want to cut the pipe about a foot where it makes a bend, then maybe weld the stock flare back on any problems with that?

no, it shouldn't cause any issues if you are cutting where you describe. just don't, you know, cut the cat off or the second O2 sensor..































If you are gonna be welding the tip back on, thats some work.































If your gonna do some work, just take it to a universal muffler and exhaust shop. You should be able to get a custom cat-back exhaust system for your nice v8 around $300. It just wont have some lame laser etched logo on it. You could possibly just have them bend piping for you to weld on.

You shouldnt have any problems at all. You wont even















have any problems with your sensors or anything all will















be good. People with Tundras drop there stock exhaust















just for the louder sound and its pretty clean. Theres a















whole bunch of youtube videos about it

only if they install exhaust pipe flanges incorrectly. that said however, you may not gain any performance, in fact you may lose a little. too much back pressure is just as bad as not enough.
