where can i get a supra engine at?

ohkay well im planning on getting a new car right.. well it just so happens i passed a 1995 toyota supra on my way to work that was used,,, and its realatively cheap but in order for me to make it nasty its going to need some work... like a new engine becuase im not about to turbo a car that has 128k miles on an engine,... i would like to know where i may find an engine online or just get a price idea on what an engine for a 95 supra (base) would cost me.. thanks

Depends on what you want. You have 3 basic options.

1JZ-GTE twin turbo w/r154 trans stock will run you about 1500.

2JZ-GTE twin turbo w/r154 trans stock will run you about 3000+.

1UZ-FE V8 w/r154 trans stock will run about 1500.

That's just for the engine and trans +adapter plate if needed. You still need wiring, intercooler, boost controller, fuel management maybe, BOV, any mounts, clutch, flywheel, a drive shaft maybe, a new water pump/ timing set probably. Go on a supra forum and look for info. 128k miles on a stock supra isn't bad... at all. I'm not a toyota guy, but that's what I gathered for a swap in a 240sx.

I think you should do some research.

128k miles on a 2JZ-GE engine is quite honestly nothing.

engine mileage on a 2JZ should be the least of your concerns assuming everything is in working order.

If you talk about turboing it I assume its 2JZ-GE naturally aspired. To single turbo the engine it will run you about 4-5k in parts (1.5k - 2k alone for a ECU)... and another 1.5 - 2k for someone to install it.

Go do the research at supraforums.com.

If you wanted a new engine you'll need a new tranny.. you can get a 2JZ-GTE with 6-speed for around 6k
