My MR2 has an idling problem.?

Default My MR2 has an idling problem.?
My 91 MR2 NA keeps having this issue where the throttle will get stuck at either 1.5 rpm 2.1rpm or 2.5 rpm. Seems that when I press on the pedal a bit, it just climbs right up. I have to tap the pedal in order to act accordingly.































Please help, this is scary when slowing down and/or downshifting.

It sounds like the needle on your tach is what is sticking. Its unlikely the engine is doing this.

It might just need a good tune up.















Make sure to change PCV valve
