94 toyota corolla problems. please help!?

Default 94 toyota corolla problems. please help!?
I just bought a used toyota corolla and these are the problems: windows dont open, radio doesnt work (thought it lights up when I try to turn it on, but then shuts off again) also the battery dies some time for no apparent reason (even if it was perfectly fine the day before). I've had it checked by some one but he just does minor work on cars and couldn't figure it out. everything else works. I don't know anything about a car except how to drive it, so please dumb it down for me. what should i do and what could be wrong with it?

Get a test light unhook the ground on ur battery hook the clamp on the test light to the negative post on the battery and touch it to the negative cable if every thang is turned off and the light come on u have a draw somewhere and is causing the battery to die , start pulling fuses out until the light goes of and what ever that fuse is hook to is what is causing ur battery to die. As for the window the switch or fuse could be blown or ur motor is shot.

Jonathan has good ideas but before you do anything make sure the battery connections are clean and tight.

. Check the charging system by removing a battery terminal while the engine is running it should continue running on the alternator power, if it stops you have a charging problem.Also check for loose wire connection and or corroded ground strap
