Toyota Tacoma question?
In the past month I bought my first truck, A 2003 Toyota Tacoma. One of the reason I bought a Tacoma is because I heard they are like tanks (things don't go wrong much), and they get good gas milage apparently. Well the one I bought is a 2.7, 4 cylinder and I get worse milage than my friends V8 Tundra. Maybe it could have something to do with the tires?( I have a TRD offroad Prerunner so its just 2wd, but the tires I dont think are stock as they are 31's) I've never owned a truck before so I knew the gas milage wouldnt be as good as most of the cars I've had, but I never envisioned this. Just an example: I live in Richmond VA, and I usually drive to VA Beach to go fishing which is about 70 miles away. Well it took me $40 to go down and back, whereas it took my friends Tundra the same amount and he has like a 5.7 V8... Is this normal, or are Tacoma's like this?? Maybe my o2 sensor is bad or something? Also, it has overdrive which is always on, and i constantly use cruise control and still i get no where. Please Help!!!!
