Toyota Corolla Gas Cap? (1999)?

Default Toyota Corolla Gas Cap? (1999)?
So I lost the gas cap for my 99 corolla and I bought a new one today. It's a stant cap and one the cap it says "vacuum only" what does that mean? Does my corolla use a vacuum type fuel system? Or is that cap not for my corolla and can it damage it? Or I'm just getting worried for nothing? Cause the website where I bought it said that it was a fit for 99 corolla.

The cap model is "stant 10825"















so i shouldnt use vacuum type caps? there was another one that said "emmision controll"

Toyota uses pressure controlling gas caps. The Stant won't damage it but the check engine light will probably come on.

You have nothing to worry about. Some states have emission tests for leakage. Stant is a very trusted product. I have a 99 Chevy Prism which was a joint venture by GM and Toyota, so its actually a Toyota. Best car I ever owned. I have 88,000 miles and it runs great and gets 30mpg

You should be ok I have one of those on my cars















but never got a check engine light or anything but















one problem with this stant model is that when















opening the cap it is very hard to loosen for some















reason oh well better then paying arm and leg at















the stealership
