Default 1991 corolla rough idle poor acceleration?
My car was running just fine until all this hot weather came around. Today I started it just fine, but when I started driving, it hesitate and miss, but only until I got to a certain rpm. Lower rpms, like those when you're starting from a stop, are where this is happening. In fact, whenever I really press on the gas, it hesitates really bad and sounds really rough. Just wondering if this could be an issue with the spark plugs or fuel pump/filter. I heard that the fuel filter either works or it doesn't, so I'm hoping it is not that since it will still drive and run, just really poorly. Thanks!

It is normal if the power loss is only in hot weather. Is it better during the cooler time, like at night? You can try "cold air intake", that is to direct the air intake to suck the "outside" air rather than air in the engine compartment which is much hotter. You can change your stock air filter to a "high flow" filter, this will also help to gain back some power. Old spark plugs, clogged fuel filter will also contribute to poor acceleration, check and replace if necessary.
