well, first there is little information about your mr2 and which engine is in it. Did you only replace the cap and rotor or was the entire dizzy removed? Assuming the new plug wires were installed on the correct cylinders and the dizzy was not removed I would start with the rotor, was it installed at the correct position? Second, check your afm, be sure it is attached properly and creating a seal in the intake piping. Third, double-check all of your electrical connectors, make sure they are secure and connected.
