What rpm should I see at 60 mpg on my Toyota Tacoma 2.4 eng?

My transmission may be slipping.

Im going to guess you meant to say MPH correct?















Is the Tacoma a manual or automatic? Yes it does

Since you have a 2.4 and you're asking about slipping, it sounds like you have a '95-'04 2wd with an automatic transmission.































You probably have a 3.73:1 axle ratio, and if you're in overdrive, the transmission ratio is 0.688:1.















The tire diameter is 27.1" for the stock 205/75R15 size for a circumference of 85.15" and 744 revs/mile. Your engine then should be spinning 1909 revs/mile while in overdrive (4th gear).































1909revs/1 mile * 60 miles/1 hour = 114557 rev/hour = 1909 revs/minute. (I guess I didn't need that step).































Am I close?
