What would you do with the extra power? Any mods to increase power will raise issues of cost, insurance and legality. If you need more power, trade it in for a bigger car.

Certain mods are accepted by insurance companies such as:















big brake conversion- save you a fortune on brand new















big exhaust conversion- less emmisions















air filter and induction kits- more power and cheaper fuel costs















uprated spark plugs and leads















uprated head gasket















cam and timing belt upgrades















a good turbo also adds a power kick from 90-180bhp

The most cost efficient thing to do is buy a more powerful version of the car and sell yours, or better still just buy a better car since no Toyota Avensis is designed to go fast.































You might get another 30-40bhp if you chuck a few grand at it but no way would it be worth it.
