toyota engine operating weird and dying 22r?

I have this problem where i will be driving my pickup and it will die because it hasnt been warmed up. Except i now have to stop my engine for about 30 seconds and then it will idle and stop dying. I've always had the problem of it dying. When I bought it, it had less than 100,00 miles on it and still does. However, when i bought it, it was sitting for 2 years without being driven. I'm thinking it could either be a carburater or a vaccum problem. What does this sound like. Any questions u have I will put on additional details and feel free to comment again.

Additional Details

Its had oil change, spark plug wires, spark plugs, air filter.All that battery stuff is fine too

Take off the distributor cap and check the small contacts underneath it. If there is any corrosion build up carefully scape it away with a wooden stick (an old chopstick is ideal) then carefully wipe all the dust out of the cap.

Check all the small vacuum tubes especially where they join onto the pipes-this is the most likely place for them to split.

Take off all the spark plug wires and wipe them with a damp rag to remove all the dust (spark plug wires rarely fail but they work very badly when they are covered in dust and the dust becomes wet like first drive in the morning after the vehicle has been allowed to sit overnight)

If its a Carb and the truck sat for 2 years

then its going to need a good carb cleaning and

a good adjustment. If that fails it could be a

vacuum line leak

I have one an had similer prob. Be willing to bet its the carb. There not much new. If u wanna clean it that's fine 2. Jus get it tuned up
