Get an OEM equivalent. Whether you go to Toyota and let the dealer do it, or have an independent mechanic do it is up to you, but pick whoever has the better price. If you go to an independent mechanic, let them order the clutch. Why? Because if they put in a clutch you bought, they won't warranty the work, because you didn't get the part through them. So if the clutch fails in 6 months and they warranty it for a year, then you will have to pay them to take it out again, send it to the manufacturer for replacement, get the replacement, bring it back to the mechanic, and pay them again to put it back in. So in this regard, it might cost a little more to have the mechanic get the clutch, but you will have more peace of mind. Reason is, if it fails in that same 6 months, you take it back, they will order the new clutch and swap them out at no charge to you.
