New Hampshire honors Maine vehicle inspection stickers and vice versa. When the Maine inspection sticker is about to expire, you will have to have the vehicle inspected in New Hampshire where, and at which time, you will receive a State of New Hampshire inspection sticker. I lived in a town in southern Maine for 40 years and bought several vehicles in New Hampshire that had State of New Hampshire inspection stickers. I also had friends and family members who lived in New Hampshire who had bought vehicles in Maine with State of Maine inspection stickers. If you live along the border, your local police department will be very familiar with this. No problem, but if you are concerned, you could give them, or your nearest State Police barracks a call to verify this.
