Default Toyota corolla S 20!0 have a question?
Hi guys I have one quick question is going to sound stupid....but today I race a mustang v6 had 20's vs my corolla S and I beat him...my car is auto...my question is what's the best time to shift up for exp...I start at L when is the right moment to go to 2 gear n 3 gear please help....















It was a three block race....n I beat him...

Put it in Drive and floor it. your not going to get any better shifting by doing it your self. not to mention in an automatic if you shift from low or 1st to second before the computer wants to it will simply stay in 1st until its ready to to go to second its self

Wow I am actually surprised your Corolla beat him it was probably the 20's on his car that killed all the torque. But the best way to do it is put it in drive and floor it. If you used S mode you might not get the appropriate shift point and you will get lag which will cause you to lose a race. You might want to brake stomp if racing from a stop

wasn't a quarter mile there is no chance aint enough torque or he had a manual and missed his shifts.
