Toyota Supra has turned into a tuners dream car. I wouldn't recommend getting one unless you are a serious driver/tuner. Yes, they did come in automatic and non-turbo, but they are already more than likely to have a lot of miles on them. Bottom line, this is a rare older car, so it would be in your best intentions to be a bit mechanically inclined. The more time passes, the rarer the car gets, and the more expensive the parts become, but it should always hold its value.
If you had lots of money, and you wanted a second weekend driver, than sure, its worth it. It is one of the best vehicles Toyota has ever produced.
